I always want to insist that you publish your real estate blog articles on your blog, on the website you own, with a strategic, locally-centric domain first. There are several reasons for this which you can learn about here.
However, in order to attract the attention of new followers, boost your traffic, and get more valuable prospects into your sales funnel, it is wise to distribute your real estate blog articles in as many directions as possible.
There are thousands of blogging platforms out there but most will never bring you the results that you crave.
In order to save you time and anguish in your pursuit of subscribers and clients, I’m going to review my recommendations for the four best platforms to share your blog posts.
Be sure to stick around till the end to give you my free list of real estate blog post ideas to help you reach the top of search engines.
Many of you are ignoring LinkedIn and for the life of me, I can’t figure out why!
LinkedIn is an extremely lucrative lead generation source, especially if you are a broker or agent targeting professionals!
The trick is that you have a well-developed profile that has been optimized for SEO and engagement.
LinkedIn has a fantastic publishing platform that helps you to showcase your expertise and build your credibility among your targets.
Start by clicking on “Write an article” from your home screen on LinkedIn.
From there, the LinkedIn Publisher extension will appear for you to insert your real estate blog.
Once you have inserted all of your content, you have the option to save it as a draft or publish the post. Personally, I like to upload about two month’s worth of content to all of my platforms at a time and save them as a draft until the time comes to publish. That way, there is never an excuse to miss a regular publishing date (which your followers look forward to).
After you hit “publish” be sure to take advantage of the ability to share your new article to your connections and various (relevant) LinkedIn Groups. This will go a long way to help you get noticed by new people.
I absolutely love Medium!
Medium is a self-publishing content platform for bloggers, journalists, entrepreneurs, and the like. It looks and feels like an actual newspaper and much of the content is of very high-quality.
I have also been very pleasantly surprised to see how easy it is to gain followers with little to no effort, as long as you are posting quality content.
To get started, simply sign-up for a free account and fill out your profile.
From the home screen, click on your profile picture and select “News story” from the drop-down menu.
From there, the publishing platform will appear and allow you to insert your content.
Make sure that you complete every field with detail and that all of your links and formatting transfer properly before you publish.
You will notice in the image above I have instructed you to select your audience. One of the coolest features about Medium, is that it will allow you to publish exclusive articles to the platform and get paid when people read. The only catch is that the content can’t be published anywhere else.
Again, you can pre-schedule your posts or publish them immediately.
I am not yet a user of Blogger, although I predict that might change as soon as today.
Blogger is actually a very old blogging platform that most people are familiar with by now. I won’t spend a lot of time speaking to the features because they are basically the same as the previous two examples.
However, I do want to stress the reason why I am including Blogger in this article. It all comes down to the parent company of Blogger.
Can you guess what it is?
Why it’s Google of course!
For the same reason, I maintain a Google+ account despite pathetic levels of engagement, I would advise that you utilize the Blogger platform; Google loves Google.
At the end of the day, search engines will always through cred to any platform or content that helps them to grow. Since Google owns platforms like YouTube and Blogger, the content on those platforms will always get an extra boost in search results.
No matter which platforms you choose to grow your traffic and brand awareness, you can use the following tips to increase your reach:
Always use strategic tags with each post
Leave comments on your posts with additional tags
Include links to other pieces of content on your real estate website/blog
Include content upgrades to capture email addresses and feed your funnel
